Quick and easy Milk Cake





 Milk cake or pal kova is one my favorite sweets.Traditionally it takes hours to make this delicious sweet. We have to cook milk and sugar on low heat for a long time to reduce and thicken to a cake. My neighbor shared an easy recipe to make this yummy milk cake in microwave. I made it over the weekend to bring to a party.

Ingredients:

2 oz. butter (8 Tablespoons)

8 oz. Ricotta cheese (1 Cup)

8 oz. milk powder (about 2 1/2 Cups)

7 oz. sugar (1 Cup)

                                          


Method:

1. Melt butter in a 9 x 9 microwavable pan.

                                          

2. Add ricotta cheese and sugar to the melted butter. Mix well.

                                                     

                                              

3. Add milk powder, 1 tablespoon at a time. Mix well without any lumps.

                                            

4. Microwave for 3 minutes. Gently mix with fork.

                                                       

5. Continue to microwave 2-3 minutes at a time until the color changes to brown. 

                                      

                                               

6. Allow to cool for 2 minutes. Cut into pieces using a knife. Store in air tight container once it is completely cooled.
